Requirements: 1) An RTG Amiga (32-bit pixel format ARGB recommended). 2) 68060 processor or better (PiStorm recommended). 3) The original PC game data (must be the correct full retail version) 4) AHI installed and configured (see links section below). 5) Music packs (see links section). Configuration: If you have trouble running in 32-bit color mode, check your P96 preferences and ensure -> Overall Settings -> DepthIncludesAlpha -> ON. The tooltype 'close_wb' can be used to close the Workbench. The toolType 'fullscreen' can be used to enable fullscreen mode. The toolType 'mix_frequency' can be used to set the sound quality. The toolType 'mix_channels' can be used to set the number of channels. The toolType 'music_volume' can be used to set the music volume. You must run AmiSpear from the Workbench, running from the shell is not supported. You can toggle fullscreen with (ALT+ENTER) during gameplay. Any errors/warnings should be written to a log file in the game directory. Automap: You can open the automap with the TAB key. Arrow keys to move around the map. Hold Y key + up arrow key to make the map bigger. Hold Y key + down arrow key to make the map smaller. Hold the spacebar + up arrow key to toggle walls. Hold the spacebar + down arrow key to toggle secrets. Hold the spacebar + left arrow key to toggle items. Hold the spacebar + right arrow key to toggle enemies. Installation: You need the full retail game data files copied into the base AmiSpear folder. Under the AmiSpear folder you should have the following files: [AmiSpear folder] - AmiSpear (this game!) - AUDIOHED.SOD (full retail game data) - AUDIOT.SOD (full retail game data) - CONFIG.SOD (AmiSpear configuration file) - GAMEMAPS.SOD (full retail game data) - MAPHEAD.SOD (full retail game data) - VGADICT.SOD (full retail game data) - VGAGRAPH.SOD (full retail game data) - VGAHEAD.SOD (full retail game data) - VSWAP.SOD (full retail game data) There are unfortunately many different versions of the retail game but only one version is supported. If you are having problems or it's just running slowly then you may need to use a different version of the retail game data. Limitations: 1) Only 640x400 32-bit resolution supported. 2) Only the original full retail game data is supported (must be correct version). 3) No joystick or gamepad support.
