AmiAtlas Pro is a very comfortable route calculation program with extensive
additional capabilities. The submitted shareware version includes a map
of germany (3800 towns, 6000 connections). The number of route calculations,
saving and printing functions is limited or not available in this demo
version.
List of features (incomplete):
- continous zoom ability, resizable windows
- borders, coasts, islands, rivers and sea are painted
- unlimited number of stop stations between start and destination town
- three kinds of way description
- driving time calculation
- individual average driving speed for different street types
- priorization of street types (for instance: prefer motorways)
- cost calculation with custom fuel consumation and fuel price
definitions
- tailback percentage for diversion calculations at rush hours
- multiple routes in the same map at the same time
- editable town and street data (adding, removing, correcting...)
- dock items for fast function access
- graphical town selection mechanism for start/destination
defintion and edit function
- car identifications, including town and region information
- additional information about speed limits, customs examinations,
ferries, important addresses and telephone numbers (esp. in maps
of foreign states)
- more than 1.000 hotels in germany (address, prices, furniture,
services, accepted credit cards, ...)
- 50 parcs for spare time activities (like "Phantasialand")
- localized: german, english, french, dutch
- very exhaustive amigaguide online help (more than 300 KByte),
only german until now :(
- compatible with graphic adapters (tested on Merlin, Piccolo,
Piccolo-SD64, Picasso, CyberVision)
Hardware requirements:
- Amiga with Kick 1.2 or better (so each one)
- 2 MByte main memory (3 MByte to get hotel and parc information)
- Harddisk with at least 3 MByte free disk space
Additional maps available:
- germany special: 15.000 towns, 26.000 streets, needs at least
4 MByte main memory, includes villages down to 500 inhibitants
- switzerland, austria, belgium, benelux (combi), france, danmark,
great britain/ireland, italy, poland, hungary, czeche/slovakia (?)
- a map of spain will be available in december 95
All maps may easily be joined. Border crossing-points will
automatically be added to allow route calculation to foreign
states.
