What for ?
    To convert GIF images to the PNG format with DOpus5.5+ and giftopnm,
pnmtopng

Why ?
    Because as anybody should know GIF is obsolete, nobody should use GIFs
anymore.
    And because gif2png sometimes crashes on my machine.

Installation:
    - Copy the script (French version or English version) to DOpus5:ARexx or
wherever
      you want.

    - Use it in a button or a menu and call it as:
      ARexx | DOpus5:ARexx/GifToPng.dopus5

    - Copy giftopnm and pnmtopng to C: or anywhere else
      ! If you don't put them in C: then you have to change the 10th line of the
      script and put your own path

Features:
    - Progress bar

    - automatic filetype recognition (won't try to convert an image that is not
a GIF)
       ! only if you have the GIF filetype installed in DOpus5

    - MyPicture.GIF or MyPicture.gif or MyPicture will be converted to
MyPicture.PNG

    - and that's all because that's all I'm able to do :-) .....

Known problems:
    - Some interlaced GIF don't like to be converted and it will result in a
corrupted
      PNG file but it does not come from my script but apparently from pnmtopng
:-(

Notes:
    - giftopnm and pnmtopng are included (I hope I had the right to do it) but
you can
      find the full archive on aminet (with the docs) as gfx/conv/picconvert.lha

A quoi ça sert ?

Pourquoi ?
    Parce que comme tout le monde le sait GIF est révolu, personne de devrait
plus
    utiliser le format GIF et parce que gif2png plante parfois sur ma machine

Installation:

    - Configurez un bouton ou un menu ainsi:

    - Copiez giftopnm et pnmtopng dans C: ou ailleurs
      ! si vous les mettez ailleurs vous devez modifier la 10e ligne du script
et y
      indiquer votre propre chemin d'accès.

Caractéristiques:
    - jauge de progression

    - reconnaissance du type de fichier (ne va pas essayer de convertir une
image qui
      n'est pas en GIF)
      ! pour cela vous devez avoir le type de ficher GIF installé dans DOpus5

    - MonImage.gif ou MonImage.GIF ou MonImage sera convertit en MonImage.PNG

    - est c'est tout car c'est tout ce dont je suis capable :-) ......

Problèmes connus:
    - Certaine images en GIF entrelacé ne supportent pas la conversion et il en
      resulte une image PNG boguée. Cela ne vient pas de mon script mais
apparemment
      du programme pnmtopng :-(
